10 things you can do today to improve your life.

I’ll give you three things to stop doing, three things to start doing, and four things to keep doing right now to improve your life:


  1. Complaining. Complaints are just verbalized fear. They push people away from you and hold you back from the positive energy and growth mindset you need to have a better life.

  2. Making Excuses. Excuses are verbalized procrastination. When you make an excuse you are wasting everyone’s time and energy, especially your own. You’re better off not saying anything at all.

  3. Letting Yourself Off the Hook. When you give yourself an easy way out or take a shortcut you’re avoiding challenges. The only way to grow in life is by doing hard things. Stop taking the path of least resistance and you’ll have a better life.


  1. Taking care of your physical health. Sleep, nutrition, and exercise are the three magic bullets for being in better shape. Go to bed at the same time every night. Eat clean. And, break a sweat every day and see what happens.

  2. Seeing the good in your life. Worry, anxiety, and fear will cripple you if you let them. The antidote to all three is gratitude. Change the story you tell yourself and you’ll see the good in your life instead of all the bad.

  3. Choosing yourself. This one’s for all the people-pleasers out there who constantly put themselves last and never take the time to invest in themselves. By saying YES to your own needs, your life will improve overnight.


  1. Asking for help. You don’t know what you don’t know. By becoming a student again you’ll have the humility and openness to really change. No-one likes a “know-it-all” and the truth is you need other people to help you live a better life.

  2. Working hard. Faithfulness and responsibility go a long way in creating a better world, and a better you. So don’t lose heart. Keep putting in the work. Refuse to take shortcuts. And, leave people and places better than you found them.

  3. Going. Successful people are just the minority who refused to quit. Don’t stop pursuing a better life. Hustle. And, learn from your mistakes. Failure is feedback. And, it’s not fatal.

  4. Backing yourself. Confidence is a byproduct of taking risks. Self-belief is the key ingredient in improving your life. When you believe in yourself, others will too. And, your life will take on an unstoppable quality.
