You owe it to yourself.

Bueno el championay...

You owe it to yourself to...

  • Find out if you have what it takes...

  • Let go of wishing your past was different...

  • Work really really hard on improving yourself...

  • Not take any shortcuts...

  • Remove any toxic takers from your life...

  • Stop and smell the roses from time to time...

  • Visit your country of origin...

  • Put your hand up for that raise you've earned...

  • Get out of your old way of doing things...

  • Find a friend who wants nothing from you, but everything for you...

  • Put pen to paper and write out an aspirational bucket list...

  • Believe the best about yourself...

  • Tackle challenges head on...

  • Love somebody (and be loved) with reckless abandon...

  • Figure out what you care the most about...

  • Break the rules when life calls for it...

  • Sleep in every once in a while...

  • Eat BBQ from Texas...

  • Enjoy your wins...

  • Contemplate your losses...

  • Be a part of a local community...

  • Create the future you want to live in...

  • Pursue the calling on your life...

  • Vote your conscience...

  • Ride the subway in NYC...

  • Not do what's expected of you...

  • Live a life congruent with your values...

  • Spend regular time by yourself...

  • Sleep out under the stars at least once in your life...

  • Read classics like The Alchemist and The Heart of Darkness...

  • Drink good wine...

  • Visit your local art gallery...

  • Take care of yourself...

  • Learn a different language...

  • Get out into the wilderness...

  • Explore the interior of your soul...

  • Step foot on a different continent...

  • Not define yourself by your worst moments...

  • Take pride in your appearance...

  • Be happy...

And, about a hundred other life-enhancing experiences I could list here.

I meet people all the time who believe the world owes them something. This couldn't be further from the truth. Whatever is owed to you is yours to earn. This might mean asking yourself some difficult questions. It might mean you seeking some wise counsel. And, it might even mean knocking down some huge walls.

But, one thing I know to be true in my heart-of-hearts about you is: YOU are worth the effort.

You might want to read that last sentence a few dozen times.

Keep choosing yourself. You are the only who can.

Here's to living life not documenting it on social media...
