10 reasons you're more powerful than you realize.

Bueno you unbelievably strong and resilient human being you...

My favorite quote in the whole wide world was written by Martin Luther King, Jrs mentor, Howard Thurman. Meet a great leader and behind her or him is a mentor. I guarantee it.

I share Thurman's words at any and every event I'm speaking at because it encapsulates and clearly defines the heart of what my business and life's work is all about.

Here it is:

"Don't ask what the world needs, ask what makes you come alive and go do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive."

Unless you're a sinister-unfeeling-sociopath without a beating heart, those words should give you pause. And, make you reflect.

If for no other reason than the fact those twenty-seven words point to your potential.

Which leads me to what I want to remind you of today.

Here are 10 reasons (I believe) you are an incredible-sleeping-giant waiting to be woken up:

  1. Your best days are still ahead of you and you know it.

  2. You've made it this far.

  3. You are taking the time to invest in yourself by reading this very post.

  4. You know deep down inside this is not your final chapter.

  5. You dream about what your future could look like.

  6. You keep fighting the urge to jump.

  7. You believe in yourself.

  8. You haven't really given your everything and all just yet.

  9. You want more.

  10. And, you won't let your past failure(s) define you.

Maybe you agree with every idea above. Maybe not.

Whichever one is hard for you to believe or you've skipped over is probably the very one you need to camp out on for a while. Let it marinate in your head and heart. And, put pen to paper about the significance it plays in your story.

Or, don't. And, keep ignoring how incredibly gifted, talented, capable, and strong you really are.

Here's to waking up...

PS. Send this to the one friend you know who needs it. Then follow up with a face-to-face if you're in the same neck of the woods. A phone call also works if not.
