Confidence is a muscle.

Bueno you tough and tender legend...

Confidence is a byproduct of taking risks.

True story.

You find out what you're made of when you confront your fears and step out in faith.

If you do this enough times, confidence will build. Just like a muscle.

Battling giants and tackling challenges head-on makes you stronger and stronger and stronger. And, as a result, your self-belief grows. You become confident.

But, you have to take the first step.

Clients tell me all the time, "I wish I was more confident when it comes to (fill in the blank)."

What they're really saying is, "I'm scared."

As they should be. Life is scary. Difficult. Disheartening. And, can kick your you-know-what if you aren't prepared.

Which is why you have to daily, religiously confront your fears. And, the best way to do that is to ask questions.

Why am I wanting to run away? What is it about this person/circumstance/challenge that makes me feel less than? When have I faced something like this before? And, what happened? What's the absolute worst thing that can happen to me? The best?

Curiosity really is your best weapon.

At the end of the day, a lack of confidence is a lack of experience.

When you visualize success. Work at it. And, refuse to quit fighting. Eventually, you'll come out on the other side.

Sure, you might have a few scars. But, you know what?

You'll be more prepared and confident the next time. And, the time after that.

Because confidence is a muscle. And, you have the potential to be really freaking strong. Like, Schwarzenegger-in-his-Conan-the-Barbarian-days strong.

Little ole you.

Inside of you is a fighter. You really are a resilient son-of-a-gun. Tougher than you can imagine.

You just haven't chosen to back yourself yet.

Now's the time amigo.

Here's to the life-changing-magic of backing yourself...
