Hello again, my friendly and curious compadre...
A few weeks back I was on a coaching call with another coach (who's just starting his practice) teaching him a few trade secrets and right before we got off the call, he asked me how I found the time to write every single day.
My response was simple: I have to.
Personally, I get so much energy and joy and fulfillment from sharing my take on things with the rest of the big-wide-world out there. I'd even go so far as to say, I'm addicted to it. Obsessed even.
I think some things are worth being obsessed about. Especially if they make a positive difference in the world and inside of you.
Which is why I write.
It's one of the only things in the world I'm any good at. And, hopefully, it helps wonderful people like you find the courage and wisdom to make the most of your life.
Which brings me to my main point: When you find something you're gifted at, it's good to share it with the world. You might even tip the scale in favor of the good girls and guys out there.
What about you?
What unique talent are you hiding?
And, don't give me the old, "There's nothing special about me" line. Because it's pure bullsh** and limited thinking. You're better than that.
Maybe you haven't taken the time to figure out what is unique about you.
Maybe you haven't given yourself permission to dream.
Maybe you haven't been affirmed about how truly unique and talented you are.
Maybe you haven't tried because you're afraid to fail.
Maybe you haven't ventured out into the open because you fear what people will say.
Or, maybe somewhere along the way you just stopped believing you had something special to contribute.
I don't know.
But, you do.
Stop subscribing to whatever excuse you are telling yourself from the list above.
And, take a small step of faith in the right direction today. Move. Do something positive. Back yourself.
If you're stuck on what your next step is then simply reach out. I reply to every email I get. And, you're worth my time, amigo.
Here's to healthy obsessions becoming daily habits...
