Steverino on being brave and facing darkness...

Happy happy day, my talented amigo...

A few weeks back I received this question via the interwebs:

"How can I be more brave?"

My answer to this question might just surprise you…

Did you know that the word BRAVE comes from the Latin (bravus) which means “wild, savage & villain”?

That’s right folks…

The best way to be brave is to embrace your inner villain. Your dark side.

Don’t believe me?

Who are the characters that we love?

Walter White (Breaking Bad)…

Tony Soprano (The Sopranos)…

Luke Skywalker (Star Wars)…

Batman (The Dark Knight Rises)…

Captain Jack Sparrow (Pirates of the Caribbean)...

John Wick...

Sherlock Holmes...

Othello...

And the list goes on…

Why?

Because deep down you know in your gut that to face evil you have to be willing to recognise it in yourself.

In order to fight the monsters outside…you have to fight the monster inside of you first.

Every human being is capable of great good, and great evil.

True bravery is recognising this and choosing to fight for the good...

In yourself, and in others.

Just something to think about as you start a new week.

Here’s to being more savage…
