Steverino get's shamed by an oldie on a bike...

Shalom you peaceful warrior...

A while back I decided to invite a friend to walk every Tuesday and Thursday at 5 AM in the morning. A few other guys found out about it and most weeks we meet up out in front of my place and walk a 40-minute circuit.

A few months into walking together, I woke up to a massive thunderstorm. Raining cats and dogs they say. I texted the group, and one brave soul hit me back with, "Drink a little concrete and harden up." So, I put my rain gear on and like the hard-headed idiot I am, went out into the rain to meet my walking buddy.

About a half a kilometer into the walk the rain and lightning forced us to seek shelter in a public restroom along the footpath. Huddled there in the midst of the storm we looked at each other and acknowledged our lack of common sense. 15 minutes passed by and off in the distance we could see someone on a bike peddling like a madman towards us.

As the biker approached us, without slowing down, he yelled out: "Giddy up!"

I couldn't help but laugh and shake my head in disbelief. The guy on the bike was at least 30 years older than me and there he was in the midst of an epic storm charging into the darkness soaked from head-to-toe.

In that moment I was reminded of a very important thing:

Life is meant to be lived full on...

Call it a divine appointment or the Universe sending me a message or just a whack job with a death wish, but I'll never forget that moment huddled with my buddy in the midst of a storm.

Why am I sharing this little story with you?

Glad you asked...

I'm not sure what storm you're in right now but I do know that your life is meant to be lived full on.

So, "Giddy up!"

Here's to whacked out oldies on bikes speaking their minds...
